A crazy night was in store for us as Oklahoma rock band The Flaming Lips brought their American Head Tour to Montreal! The evening started at 8 pm sharp, without an opener, diving right in. But to be honest, an opener was not needed, as tonight’s show was one of the craziest productions we’ve ever seen at MTelus. From lead singer Wayne Coyne appearing in a giant bubble, to many confetti and CO2 blasts, inflatable props like a rainbow, and a giant robot, the laser-lit MTelus was a show for the eyes! And for the ears, obviously, as the rock band put on a two-hour, 20-song setlist and brought their amazing, trippy energy.
The evening just felt like one big psychedelic party, and it was the perfect way to kick off the weekend! The Flaming Lips will be playing in Toronto tomorrow, and it is a show you do not want to miss! For tickets and more information, click here.
