Aaron Wylder unveils his latest single, “I Could Be Your One”

Victoria, BC-based singer-songwriter Aaron Wylder has released his latest single, “I Could Be Your One.”

Have you ever met a person that changes the world for you? Every aspect of it, down to the smells, vividity, and overall illumination of life? That is what “I Could Be Your One” is about, or rather, his dream about this person.

Aaron shares,

“Think we have all been in a place where you feel like if the stars aligned correctly just this one time it would be perfect. If you were there 5 minutes earlier, if she could only see what you see…This song is about that hopeful feeling and the dream that encapsulates you. The spark that brings you closer to the one.”

Review

From the very beginning of this track, I knew I was in for a treat.

You’re immediately introduced to Aaron’s charming vocals with lyrics, “I could your man, your shining knight in armour, I could be your one, Won’t you take my hand, Let’s fly across the water, Don’t that sound like fun,” accompanied by a sweet folk vibe.

Then, the track transitions to an Americana feel, with a more up-tempo beat, including a tambourine. The lyrics continue to be adorable, “I could be your man, Your lover in Japan, We’ll travel East, Won’t you take my hand, You’re more than just a girl, You’re the centre of my world,” and “I could be your man, Won’t you give me your heart, Cause you have mine, Won’t you take my hand, I’ve loved you from the start, You’re the centre of my world, I could be your one,” would make anyone feel like a giddy school girl.

This song nestled into my mind, and for two days straight, I was serenaded by Aaron’s poetic brand of sunshine-filled vocals.

I believe this goes unsaid, but in case you aren’t sure, Aaron has made a new fan in me, and I am excited to see more in the future.
