Kyra Daniel says “Words Mean Something” in her latest single
Kingston, ON’s teenage artist Kyra Daniel has shared her mature new single, “Words Mean Something.”
The track is an empowering and poignant track that is reminiscent of 90’s Grammy award-winning group TLC and contains a deeper dialogue, reminding listeners that their voices matter. The song was one of Kyra’s first co-writes with producer Evan Cline (Teddy Swims, Georgia Webster, Foster, Peytan Porter

First off, care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hi! I’m Kyra Daniel. I am a performer from Kingston, Ontario. I just turned 13 years old a few weeks ago, and singing is my #1 passion. I’ve always dreamed of being a singer, songwriter, and businesswoman!
You have unveiled your single, “Words Mean Something.” What can you tell us about the writing process behind the single?
Writing “Words Mean Something’ was such a special day for me. I knew I wanted to create a song that would hopefully inspire others and remind them of the power and worth they hold within them. Evan and I spent a lot of time crafting the message and melody. So, to everyone listening, this one is for you!
You worked with Evan Cline on the release. What was the highlight of this experience?
Evan is an amazing person, and writing with him was such an exciting experience. I think going to Nashville and experiencing the process of these first songs being written and then produced into what they are now right in front of me was the most surreal part of it all. I’m forever grateful for the amazing team behind me who are helping me to achieve amazing things like this.
What is your favourite thing about the music scene in Kingston, ON?
Kingston is just a great town in general. The people, the community, and just the whole vibe. The music community is really strong. The people are so kind and so supportive, it’s hard not to love everyone!
What else can we expect from you in 2022?
In 2022, I will be making a music video for “Words Mean Something” and finalizing my vocals on one more original song. I’ll be posting many more performance videos and behind-the-scenes stuff, like me in the studio or writing songs! Stay tuned!!
