Franz Ferdinand touched down in Montreal yesterday, to bring their Hits to the Head tour to MTelus! The evening started with Boston indie rock trio Vundabar, whose frontman Brandon Hangen brought the energy. The band did a great job of warming up a growing crowd with mood lighting and great riffs.
Around 9pm, the Scottish lads of Franz Ferdinand arrived on stage in front of a venue packed to the brim. The band started slow with the acoustic intro to Jacqueline, but quickly turned things up a notch and followed by Walk Away and the classic No You Girls. For the following 90 mins, the venue got extremely sweaty as people danced, jumped and sang along, as frontman Alex Kapranos completely commanded the stage, charming the crowd with his unique voice and wowing us with crazy jumps!
Franz Ferdinand will be playing at History in Toronto tonight, and in Vancouver on August 26th. It is a show you do not want to miss, so check the band’s website for tickets!
