On June 24, The Abrams returned to the airwaves with their first release in nearly three years – a bluegrass-infused single “Something New.” It’s available at all digital streaming services and retailers. This duo took home the hardware for 2022 CMAOntario Duo / Group of the Year earlier this month and they just wrapped a successful run of shows in the UK and recently played to a sold-out theatre crowd in their native Kingston, Ontario. So, it’s been a great month for brothers James and John.
The Abrams share this about “Something New,”
““Something New” is all about that feeling you get when you think you know everything about someone you love, yet they keep surprising you every day. The best relationships grow and feel fresh at every turn, even after many years. That’s what we feel we have in our lives, which is why we both connected with this song.”

The upcoming album, a collection incorporating a brand-new sound for The Abrams, will be released later this summer. It will fuse their acoustic mountain-music roots with snappy pop-country beats and textures, harmoniously brought together by hit-maker Tawgs Salter (Hunter Hayes, Scott Helman, Walk Off The Earth). Each of the songs, both lyrically and musically, reflects how John and James are both young and old souls; time-tested and authentic, with a catchy fire and energy. Watch for the release.

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
