On June 17, multi-award-winning, PLATINUM-selling James Barker Band ushered in the warm weather months with the release of the perfect summertime day-drinking song “Beer Me.” In the single, JBB embraces their alter-egos with a tongue-in-cheek party anthem for fans. Streaming everywhere now, “Beer Me” is just what the doctor ordered to kick off a laid-back weekend with friends.
“Beer Me” was written by James Barker with Todd Clark, Gavin Slate, and Travis Wood. It brings this band’s undeniable charisma to the forefront and is reminiscent of the infectiousness from their GOLD-certified track “Lawn Chair Lazy.” This new single gives listeners permission to shake off the weight of their daily responsibilities, pop a top and let their party flags fly.
Says Barker of the inspiration behind the new track,
“We all know that friend, or maybe are that friend, that becomes the party as soon as the first cold one goes down and that’s really what this track is about. If I had to pick one song that summarized JBB this would be the one – the anthem of a carefree, beer-drinking guy who just loves to have a good time with his closest buds.”

Fans can catch JBB’s current single “Wastin’ Whiskey” as well as their new release “Beer Me” live during the final weeks of the Some Things Never Change Tour, which has taken the JBB crew, made up of James Barker (lead vocals/guitar), Taylor Abram (guitar/background vocals), Connor Stephen (drums) and Bobby Martin (bass) across Canada for the past month. While only a handful of shows remain on tour, JBB will be taking festival stages in both Canada and the U.S all summer long. To find tickets for a show near you, go here.

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
