After the tent was destroyed due to Hurricane Larry in 2021 and a quick move to Mile One Centre, fans returned to Quidi Vidi on Wednesday night for the first night in the brand new Iceberg Alley Performance Tent. As the tent filled, Ife Alaba warmed up the crowd with an incredible performance.
Next was a local favourite, Tim Baker, who always puts on a great show. His set was a great mix of old songs, including a Hey Rosetta staple “Yer Spring“, and new music like “Some Day,” which will be released on June 22nd.
Headlining night one was City and Colour. The crowd was very excited to see the singer-songwriter hit the stage. Fans were treated to a blend of songs across his 17-year career, including old favourites like “Comin’ Home” and “Sleeping Sickness.”
I’m Tara and I’m a graphic designer from Newfoundland. I am very fortunate to live in a city where there is a ton of amazing musicians. I’ve grown very fond of the local music scene in St. John’s and some of my favorite bands are ones I’ve met through going to local shows.
