Grymee balls out with the new single “Kobe”

Toronto-based hip-hop artist Grymee (aka Dontae Richards-Robinson) recently shared his latest track, “Kobe,” via Morojele Music Group Inc.

With lyrics and beats inspired by his real-life experiences and surroundings, “Kobe” chronicles the way Grymee stays grinding and balling when everyone around him wants to see him fall. “Kobe” marks the second official release from the talented rapper, who released the track and video for his debut single “Look At Me” late last year, which has surpassed 166K views on YouTube.

Listen to “Kobe” below, and find out more about up-and-coming hip-hop artist, Grymee via our Five Questions With segment.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?

I’m Grymee; I’m a rapper from Brampton, Ontario.

Tell us a bit about your most recent release.

My most recent release is a song called KOBE; it’s about grinding as hard as you can and being the best at what you do, like Kobe.

Where do you tend to pull inspiration from when writing?

When I write music, I’m inspired by my surroundings, the way I grew up, and the people I grew up with.

Do you have any upcoming shows or festivals you’d like to tell us about?

I’m excited to be part of the “Proceed With Caution Tour.” This tour includes myself, Flash Milla, and SBO Swampy. The tour will be put on by our label Morojele Music Group Inc., and it’s a Canadian National tour starting in Southern Ontario. More details to come.

What’s your goal for 2022?

Release my EP and grow my fan base, get my fans the video for KOBE in July, and keep hustling.
