We’ve passed the halfway mark of Les Francos, and the festival still doesn’t fail to amaze us with incredible live performances! Yesterday, we started our evening at the gorgeous Maison Symphonique, with French rising singer Yseult. Alone with a pianist on the stage, the Victoires de la Musique recipient let her powerful voice fill the venue, in a paired-down set that let the beauty of her lyrics shine through.
Next, we headed to MTelus for a night of groovy pop! A couple days after her former band La Femme played the same stage, Clara Luciani gave two sold-out shows, an anticipated comeback four years after her last Montreal appearance. Shortly after 10pm, Clara and her band emerged on stage in front of an ecstatic crowd. Being miles away from France, she was surprised and enthused by the reaction of the audience, who sang along every word as she performed her hits like Coeur, Amour Toujours and Respire Encore.
Finally, we closed off the night at the SiriusXM stage with Ragers. By the time we got there, the hip-hop band with punk-rock influences had special guest Rymz on stage with them! The Hochelaga band delivered a strong set, and the perfect way to close out Wednesday night!
