Melotika is back with a video for her brand new single, “#1”

Montreal native Melotika is redefining what it is to be a Pop artist. Referring to her music as non-commercial Electropop/Retro-Pop, her sound is heavily influenced by artists such as Lady Gaga, Madonna, Dua Lipa, Metric, Portishead, and Silversun Pickups, as well as music from the 70s, 80s, and 90s. Blending eclectic and stimulating sounds with carefully crafted, infectious, danceable tunes, she stands for self-confidence and embraces individuality. Her lyrics are always laced with a deeper meaning, and her music offers a form of escapism for anyone who feels confused or alone.

“#1” is the follow-up release to Melotika’s previous Retro-Pop single “Digital Dreams,” released in early 2022.

Melotika sings about living in the present moment while undergoing feelings of uncertainty. A coming of age ballad about never giving up on that special someone who she calls her ‘number one.’
