Barrie, ON-based stoner/psych-rock band, AAWKS, has unveiled their new album, (((((Heavy On The Cosmic))))).
The band released EP.1 in March of 2020, which was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Shane Heath at One Star Studio in Barrie. Since then, they’ve teased fans with the singles “The Electric Traveller” and “Space City from the new album.
The cassette release will be co-released by Tarantula Tapes and Northern Haze, each carrying an exclusive colour variant.
Well, we’re AAWKS from Barrie, Ontario, Canada… Dan, Bob, Kris, and Randy.
June 10 is the full album release for Heavy on the Cosmic. A labour of riffs, laughs, and grooves.
Everything in life is a trip… experiences (physical and metaphysical) have been a source… as well as dirty Vans, muscle car culture, Sears catalogues, and fantasy art.
June 10th at Tail of the Junction in Toronto (our album release party).
July 9th at the Doors Pub and Metal Bar in Hamilton.
July 17th, the Queens, Barrie.
July 29th The Cat on Q, Toronto.
More shows are to be announced.
More shows, more new music, more connections, more Botox, and more Doomicorn! Also, thinking of entering a portal we found behind our garage.
