Riverfest Elora returns with a bang for their 2022 installment

Riverfest Elora, known as Ontario’s “big-little” festival is bringing the band back together for its first full installment in 3 calendar years!

Riverfest Elora continues its run as one of Canada’s premier boutique festivals, offering top tier headliners, up-and-coming acts of all genres, local artisans, food trucks, and craft brews, all within a majestically natural setting along the banks of the famed Grand River in Elora — Ontario’s most beautiful village.

Heading into the 12th “annual” installment, Riverfest Elora, which started as a backyard festival in 2009 with an attendance of around 700 people, has grown exponentially in recent years to see crowds of more than 5,000 a day over the August weekend.

Growing from the success of past installments, which have included performances by The Flaming Lips, City and Colour, MGMT, Carly Rae Jepsen, Arkells, July Talk, Blue Rodeo, Chromeo, The Sheepdogs, Gogol Bordello, Walk Off The Earth, Donovan Woods, Bahamas and many more, Riverfest Elora credits its success in making it through the pandemic to the ongoing contributions from its artistic partnerships, and the unwavering support of Elora’s small but mighty community.

2022 features a stellar grouping of artists from across Canada and beyond, showcasing a plethora of genres and styles.

With newcomers to the festival; Alessia Cara (Saturday) and The Glorious Sons (Sunday), as well as returning RFE fan favourites like Mother Mother (Friday) and the Strumbellas (Saturday), Ontario’s most epic party of the summer is sure to deliver on its promise! The lineup also features two recent 2022 Juno Award-winning artists in Jessia (Breakout Artist of the Year) and Charmaine (Rap Single of the Year) with Omega Mighty also credited on her sister, Haviah Mighty’s win for Rap Album of the year!

It’s also worth noting, is that Riverfest Elora 2022 will feature an almost entirely Canadian lineup, with only two of the 59 performers, Paul Cauthen (Texas) and Amanda Lepore (New York), coming from across the border!
