Country Singer-Songwriter Jolene Harnish from Guysborough County, Nova Scotia has recently released her new single, “Home to Me.” This is her second self-written single and Jolene says, “it’s a ballad known to make grown men cry.” The song was written in 10 minutes 11 years ago on a napkin during a plane ride. Harnish believes it’s one of the best songs she has written.
Born into a family of music lovers and musicians, Jolene was never far from music and even recorded a 3-song EP in 2001. She gained more musical experience while living in Toronto and then back home in NS until 2009 when she took a pause from music. In July 2021 she released a new song “Staycation” which was to promote her new apparel clothing company. One thing she wants everyone to know is, “it’s never too late to follow your dreams; you are never too old to embody the purpose of your life.”

I’m Shayla, and I was born in Saskatoon but moved to Halifax in 2013 for University, and since decided to stay here for a while. I recently received a Bachelor of Design, after studying photography for a year or two as well. I love everything about music and how it has the ability to bring so many people together from across the country and even the world. My passion for music is one of the reasons I moved East to pursue a photography and design career, as I would love to do graphic design and photography within the Canadian music industry.
