Patrick Bruel was in Montreal this week as part of his (Re)Tour, a series of acoustic, intimate shows. With Mika’s Bell Center show a couple of weeks ago, and Les Francos de Montréal right around the corner, right now is a great time to be a French music lover in Montreal! Today was no exception, with the last show of Patrick Bruel‘s 4-day stretch at the Théâtre St-Denis. A step down in size compared to his 2019 visit at the Bell Center, but a venue that worked perfectly for the format of the show. For over two hours, Patrick performed stripped-down versions of his songs in a set at the intersection of concert, memoir, and stand-up comedy. From the moment he appeared on stage guitar case in hand to the moment he left after many encores and an emotional cover of Barbara’s “Ma Plus Belle Histoire d’Amour”, he had the crowd in the palm of his hand, hanging onto his every word and singing along.
The acoustic tour is now headed to Gatineau, Trois-Rivières, and Sherbrooke, and it is a show you do not want to miss! For more information and tickets, visit patrickbruel.com.
