Toronto, ON-based pop-R&B artist, Jesse Gold has unveiled his new single, “All Over Again” via Set Records. His first offering of 2022, the track is an addictive R&B-infused anthem which pays tribute to the early ‘00s while maintaining a modern twist. Easy on the ears and highly addictive, the song arrives just in time for summer.
Lifted from his own romantic misadventures,
“All Over Again is the product of an ex showing up at one of my shows,” Jesse explains. “When they had the chance to stay, they wanted to go – so now they stand in line and pay full price at the shows,” he says, referencing one of his favourite lyrics from the release.
The single follows Gold’s sophomore EP, Stupid Hours, a nod to the ‘stupid hours’ he puts into his music and artistic growth. Lyrically, the project touches on the importance of a tight-knit crew (“We Good”), the vulnerability of sharing growing pains (“R.I.P.”), and the struggle of finding connection through it all (“Sugar Island”).
