BC-born Métis artist, Teigen Gayse has recently unveiled her new single, “Messed Up”. The single was produced by Jimmy Thow and Jordan Oorebeek. and is already seeing support from various mediums such as Amazon Music’s Breakthrough Country, Fresh Country, and Brand New Music; and Spotify’s Live Country and New Music Friday Canada.
Teigen shares on the single,
“This last year has been such an incredible journey for for me and I’m so excited and proud of the body of music I’ve been creating with my closest friends. My new single ‘Messed Up’ is about being so undeniably and unapologetically in love with someone. I hope everyone loves it as much as I do”
The track follows her previous singles, “I Don’t Wanna Fall In Love Anymore” and “Blame the Wine“, which were both released in 2021.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hey everyone, my name is Teigen Gayse and I’m a country singer-songwriter from Kelowna BC, been spending a lot of my time in Nashville writing and recording music. I have a pug, I like cold pizza and will choose scary movies over any other.
Tell us a bit about your most recent release.
“Messed Up” is one of the first songs I wrote when I was down in Nashville and it’s such a special song to me because I got to write it with my good friends who also produced it as well! It’s such a fun feel-good song and I’m proud to put something out that makes people smile, especially when our world has been so crazy lately
When it comes to the global pandemic, how are you keeping yourself out in the public eye while not being able to perform?
Keeping active on social media is very important currently. I enjoy talking to fans and keeping them up to date with what I’m doing.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so if you were able to work with ONE fellow Canadian artist, alive or dead, who would you choose?

I have so many goals I don’t even know where to begin but a few are…
Getting in the best mental and physical health, getting a number 1 at radio, and expanding my music family with people who believe in me and care about me 🙂
