Quebec country duo, Mountain Daisies have unveiled their first single, “Simple Stuff” from their upcoming EP, set for release in September.
The duo, which consists of violinist Ariane Ouellet and guitarist Carl Prévost has performed all over Quebec with their French project and their Open Country show, where Ariane and Carl invited nearly a hundred popular artists to sing country versions of their songs, and now they have revealed their first original English recordings, which will please old and new fans alike. The new music is inspired by their trips to Nashville and the friends they made in Music City.
Carl shares,
“We went to Nashville to see if there was a little piece of us there. We found one and that was the start of a great story.”
Their first single “Simple Stuff” is a tribute to the simple things in life and about sharing a true and honest moment with someone you care about. “Simple Stuff” reminds us that we don’t need much to be happy when we’re with the right person. The track is written by female artist of the year at the ACM Awards 2022 Carly Pearce, Molly Reed, and Jeff Pardo, and produced by Danick Dupelle.
Ariane says,
“We wanted to take our music to the next level and I think it’s mission accomplished. We learned a lot and we are very proud of the result and excited about what is coming for us.”
