Right now you can also check out a clip from each of these songs featured in the video posted just below play this week’s picks of the week!

5) Starting things off, we’re introducing Hamilton-based singer-songwriter Mary Clements. She’s just recently unveiled her new single, “Memories“ to all streaming platforms. She started her musical journey at a very young age, graduating with a degree in Music from McMaster University. Mary shares this about her new single, “People with anxiety will understand that sometimes our thoughts can be both pleasant and also overwhelming all in one moment and I tried to capture that feeling,” So please be sure to check out the article where we Premiere the news single and conducted a quick interview with Mary Clements HERE.

4) Well it looks like it was an exciting year for MacKenzie Porter,  with her latest video “Pickup” premiering on CMT, and hitting the road with Walker Hayes (Fancy Like Tour). But the Big Loud Records international star has started out 2022 by bringing the official music video for her latest single to life. “Pickup” premiered exclusively on CMT,  and the video was directed by the incredible Justin Clough. But Porter will also be supporting Grammy 2022 nominee, Walker Hayes for a number of his US tour dates. Check out this brand new article HERE.

3) Moving on to this week’s third choice, it’ll be incredible Alberton Shaela Miller. She just released her standalone single, “Tidal Wave” to all the platforms you’re listening to music on. But it was recorded during the recording sessions for her 2020 release, Big Hair Small City with producer Scott Franchuk at (Riverdale Recorders Edmonton). Given the meaning behind “Tidal Wave”, Miller released it on March 8 to mark International Women’s Day 2022. She explains in the article on the website, “It’s about how the expected and demanding responsibilities women face in life through the roles of motherhood and romantic partnerships, can leave us feeling completely void of fire, passion, and inspiration, yet the expectations remain and we just have to power through it all”. Please visit the article on the website HERE.

2) Next up on my picks of the week, Montreal-based rapper, ANDRRE has surprised fans by presenting when the first single from his entirely new indie-folk project, entitled “Parasites”. Be sure to find that now and all your favourite streaming sites and share it with your friends. This beautiful folk song was written by a versatile songwriter who pays tribute to the demons who share his life. These Parasites work their way inside your body and head, and they are constantly struggling to take over. Please be sure to visit the article HERE.

1) Our final choice of the week goes out to the Award-winning singer-songwriter Geneviève Racette. She’s just unveiled her third full-length album, Satellite, which was co-produced alongside François-Pierre Lue. Be sure to find the new album on all streaming sites now and share it with your friends. The 9-song collection of folk-pop tracks delivers an honest story of self-discovery and reflection through the cycle of love. The whole album is enjoyable from front to back but one song that stands out from me was the duet with City and Colour (Dallas Green), for the song “Someone”. Together their voices compliment each other incredibly, so that’s why it’s been added to my personal playlist. Please check out the article HERE.
