Zach’s Picks of the Week – January 17, 2022 to January 22, 2022

Good Monday to everybody out there. Welcome back to my list of recommendations from our website Canadian Beats, accurately called Zach’s Picks of the Week. We’ve got a whole new list of brand new music and artists for you to check out that have been featured on our lovely website. Our hard-working authors are posting new music all the time, so be sure to check out all of the other articles featured every day. I’m only featuring five recommendations, so you know there’s plenty more to go discover. I will have the link to each of these articles right below the write-up. So please check them all out and let’s get started with my list of picks of the week.

5. Starting us off we have Alt-pop icon Lights, who is debuting her new single “Real Thing” featuring ELOHIM. Which is available on all streaming sites and was accompanied by an official music video for its release. This is the latest from her forthcoming new album, expected for release in early 2022. Be sure to check out the brand new single HERE.

4. Coming up next is Newfoundland’s Peter Vance who’s released a video for his latest single “Breaking Chains”, which is on all streaming sites for you to enjoy. The new track was written in the aftermath of a relationship breakdown. “There was a lot of soul searching because when you look back, on the mistakes you made are a bit more obvious than when you’re in the midst of the relationship.” Be sure to visit the website and check out the article for the release of “Breaking Chains” HERE.

3. Next up, we have a brand new interview done by our very own Rebecca Mattina with Alicia Moffet. They talked about her newest single “Lullaby” and how it’s a testament to her electro-pop roots with a mix of R&B and soulful vocals. You can find the new single on all streaming platforms now. Now, with the release of the new single, Moffet is ready to usher in a new stage of her career. We caught up with her to talk about the new single and more. Check out the interview HERE.

2. Making a return to my picks of the week, welcome back Kingston, Ontario-based art-rock band JIMBO. They teamed up with us, at Canadian Beats, to unveil their newest sludge rock single, “Dropping Like Flies”. Which is available now on all streaming platforms so be sure to go check it out. The beginning with a quick swarm of flies, a bellowing bass riff, indecipherable radio static, and trebly guitar hooks, “Dropping Like Flies,” explodes in a hard rock crescendo as the almost tangible lead guitar riff grows and grows. Be sure to check out the article HERE.

1. Now, for my final choice for this week’s recommendations, Whitby, Ontario’s Chastity is dreaming of days where he can hit the road again! Having already performed across North America as well as parts of the UK and Europe. Our very own Pamela Roz caught up with Chastity found out about his third album, Suffer Summer. Be sure to go and enjoy it on streaming sites and also check out the interview HERE.

Thank you for going through all of my picks of the week, I really hope you found something that caught your eye or ear. Like I said our hard-working authors are always posting lots of new music so be sure to go to the website and see all of the other amazing articles posted every day on our website Canadian beats. But it’s always we will be back next Monday with a new list of recommended music. So everybody out there reading this post, PEACE, LOVE AND GOOD MUSIC!!
