The new track encourages checking out of reality to hone the magic and creativity we all harness inside.

“Think of it as a new age meditation mantra, where we temporarily disconnect from the world to reconnect with our higher selves.”

I’m Sia Shells, an indie artist from Canada that spreads everyday magic and positivity through my music and mermaid life.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
My music enchants the senses and brings magic to everyday situations and life. It’s whimsical, positive, and deep all at the same time.
How have you been keeping creative during the Pandemic?
Believe it or not, the pandemic has forced me to dedicate even more time towards my music and creativity, with all the time alone and space to reflect. Being alone with my thoughts has really made me come to realize what truly matters the most.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Definitely “Magic Girl”, because it defines my whole belief system and mantra around believing in yourself and following your dreams.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
I’m a huge fan of The Weeknd and everything he’s accomplished in the last few years. His vocal range is incredible and his musical collaborations and projects are so eclectic.
