Hot off the 2021 CCMA Awards stage, Local Hay/Big Loud recording artist Shawn Austin has delivered a gift for fans just in time for the holidays: two surprise new tracks — “Planes Don’t Wait” and “Get You” — available everywhere now.
Written by Mark Holman, Brian Kelley, Jared Mullins, and Ernest Keith Smith, “Planes Don’t Wait” sees Austin step confidently into his next chapter.
The second track, “Get You” was written by Matt Dragstrem, Josh Thompson, and Laura Veltz and highlights the power of Austin’s smooth vocals. Both tracks were produced by Scott Cooke and perfectly tease what’s to come for the award-nominated artist next year.
“I can’t thank the entire county industry enough for being so receptive to ‘Tailgate To Heaven’,” said Austin. “I thought there was no better way to celebrate than surprising everyone with two new tracks and I’m so happy Local Hay and Big Loud agreed! I’m so excited these are out and want everyone to know that we’re just getting started over here, so they’d better keep their eyes and ears ready!”
This release comes as Austin’s track with Chris Lane, “Tailgate To Heaven,” races up the charts in Canada. Currently approaching Top 10, this hit collaboration has become his fastest-rising single to date.
Without a doubt, Austin is the artist to watch in 2022. The 2021 CCMA Award Rising Star nominee will join Dallas Smith on his Some Things Never Change national Canadian tour, kicking off in May 2022. Find a full list of dates HERE.
