Ontario-based, emerging Country artist, Karli June has teamed up with us, at Canadian Beats, to premiere an acoustic video for her heartfelt single, “The List”. Recorded at Revolution Recording Studio in Toronto and filmed by Tour Bus Entertainment, the track was recorded live off the floor and is the second acoustic video in a four-part series.
The track was co-written by Karli and hit songwriters Karen Kosowski (Meghan Patrick, The Washboard Union, Tim Hicks, Mickey Guyton) and Emma Lee. Kosowski also produced the song.
“The List to me was about the expectations we put on our lives for things to happen when we want them to happen. I’ve learned through my journey that God has greater plans and if we trust the journey – we will see he has perfect timing,” said Karli. “At the time of writing it I had just met my now husband, and I was sharing about how it had been a long journey to finding the right one but how glad I was that things didn’t work out in the past. This is a song that no matter what people are going through, I hope it encourages them to trust the greater plan.”
The video release wraps yet another year of growth for the up and coming singer-songwriter, who was selected to be a 2021 participant in the prestigious TD Incubator for Creative Entrepreneurship powered by SOCAN Foundation, was one of three finalists selected to represent Ontario in the 2021 nationwide Jim Beam Talent Search and opened for award-winning Country music group The Washboard Union at the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival.
She’s definitely one to keep our eyes on, as she has more up her sleeve, with the release of her debut EP in February 2022.
