Zach’s Picks Of The Week – November 22 – 27

How do you do everybody, welcome back to the music Monday’s here on Canadian Beats. I hope you survived this last week and are ready to recharge on some new tunes. But we’ve had a lot of snow and flooding this last week here in BC. It’s not to do with anything music, but I hope & pray that everybody is okay, safe, and with those you love. But back to the music, because we’ve got a brand new list of recommendations and articles from our lovely website for you to enjoy today. These are called “Zach’s Picks of the Week” and I will be serving you five courses of fantastic new music. 5. Now introducing Vancouver, BC-based artist JP Maurice, who is back with his newest single, “Unstoppable” and you can find his new single on all streaming sites now. In a world of cookie-cutter copy-paste formulas, JP  breaks that mold with his riveting and fluid compositions that redefined the bubblegum-pop genre. 4. Next up we have multi-award nominated Hazelridge, Manitoba’s country duo Banned & Outlawed, who have unveiled their new single, “Real Country Song” which is available now on all streaming sites. 3. Taking third place this week which is not a bad thing, we’ve got Toronto’s Casper Skulls dropping their new single and video, “Ouija” which you going to find out on all streaming sites. The newest track comes as another installment from their second album, Knows No Kindness which you can find online now via Next Door Records. 2. Coming up right now we have got legendary post-hardcore outfit Silverstein with their brand new single, “It’s Over” which you can find on all streaming sites now. The band continues to balance their core sound, an intensely dynamic mix of melody and aggression, with a natural growth as songwriters and evolving inspirations. They recently hit 20 years as a band, marking two decades of relentlessly pushing themselves from their underground roots to becoming one of the most influential bands in their scene. 1. Canadian country-pop artist Taylor-Rae has recently released her new single, “Are You Still Up?”. In just a few weeks following its release, the single has racked up over 200,000+ streams across platforms. The single was written about the period shortly after a breakup, Taylor-Rae’s “Are You Still Up” perfectly captures the feelings of vulnerability one experiences after a relationship comes to an end.
