There we are, looks like we are back to normal again, sorry for the break everybody. But welcome back to the Weekly Beat Down here on Canadian Beats! The almost weekly competition where we will face two songs against one another, for you the fans to vote on and enjoy. It will be running from today Monday, all the way until Saturday night. Whichever one of these two songs that has the most votes by the end of the week. They will be crowned our winner and proceed to the next round and the next challenger. If they end up hanging on for six weeks in a row, I will immortalize them in our Hall of Fame. Just like our new the winners from Vancouver, Celestial Ruin with “See U Nxt Tuezday”! Be sure to check them out on all your favourite streaming services. But be sure to get your votes after we check out these two new songs, featured in this week’s episode below.
Joining us this week on the Weekly Beat Down, we’ve got Toronto, alternative rock band, The High Loves. Here with their latest single and video “Sometime”, which you can now stream all the time on your favourite site’s that you listen to music on. But this new song captures the freedom of knowing your relationship with somebody may be over, but at least you tried your best. Sometimes things just happen, it’s not your fault. The single is coming off of their latest album called Too Much Of A Good Thing which is out now so go check it out. If you enjoy their song be sure to cast your votes at the bottom of the page after you check out the full video right here.
Next up in this competition we’ve got another incredible Toronto artist to introduce you to this week. He is a post-hardcore pop-punk rocker named Chris Nine who has just dropped his latest EP called The Heavy on all streaming services. His latest single and video coming off his new EP is called “fracture” and is joining us this week in the competition. I would almost describe it as a rally cry, for you to rise up from the things that hold you back in life. At least that’s just my take on it, but we recently featured one of his other singles from his EP, called “the rage” in this article from our website. But if you enjoy his new single, be sure to cast your votes at the bottom of the page, but after we check out the full video right here.
That’s going to be the two amazing songs that you will get the chance to vote on this week. Remember this song with the most votes will be the one moving on to the next round. So be sure to get your friends involved with the hashtag #WeeklyBeatDown and Make sure you hit the anonymous vote button, to submit your choice for every day. Good luck competitors and May the odds be in your favour.

Hey there! I’m Zach I love long walks on the beach and movies that make you cry. Wait a minute this isn’t my E-Harmony account. Let’s try this again, hi I’m Zach from Dawson Creek, BC. Before you think it, no it’s not like the TV show! I have loved music ever since I was a kid back in Abbotsford, BC where I was born. Moved up north when I was about six and was practically raised up here. Hands down one of my favorite Canadian band has to be Simple Plan, with Dallas Smith coming in second. One of my Favorite Things I enjoy doing is just sitting around listening to music or taking pictures. I’d say I’m a pretty good photographer but you can be the judge of that. Just even ask a couple of my friends City light vigil, Scarlet serenity or Violet night. If you’re still reading this congratulations you’ve reached the end.
