Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.

I tend to write fun songs with a bit of attitude or sassiness – and then every now and again pour out a song that tugs on the heartstrings – like most singers I draw from real feelings and experiences. I don’t normally plan when writing, I write when the inspiration hits me! it’s usually the melody that comes first. Unique catchy melodies are my “thing”.

How have you been keeping creative during the Pandemic?

My mind never stops! Lol. I’m an entrepreneur so I’m always working on some new creative ideas or starting a new business. I also correspond lots with my co-writer friend Keven Daken quite a lot and we continually send song ideas back and forth. I like to search out new music also to get inspired or to just keep my mind in a good space. I love to support and see what’s up with other female artists.

If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?

My song “Staycation” this song is so relevant, and everyone can relate to it. I like how its so positive and fun.

Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/artists?

Oooh, the list is so long! But here are my current favorites, Dean Brody, Sasha, Brett Kissel, and Tenille Arts to name a few. I’m a bit bias but my favorite Canadian Brand is Staycation Apparel 😊
