Weekly Beat Down – August 9, 2021 to August 14, 2021

How do you do everybody and welcome back for Music Mondays here on Canadian Beats. I’m your host Zach, here for another exciting showdown between two amazing artists. Our competition is called the Weekly Beat Down and you the fans will be deciding on your favourite song each week. Whichever one of these songs has the most votes by the end of this week, Monday to Saturday night. They will be moving on to the next round or potentially one of our competitors will be inducted to the Weekly Beat Down Hall of Fame. After completing six weeks in a row on the competition, we will see what happens at the end of this week. But there’s more music to enjoy in this week’s video below, so let’s check out the new music.

First up in the competition, we have our reigning champion who is here on his final week. Toronto singer-songwriter Luckystickz has made it to week number six on the Weekly Beat Down with “Strangers”. It is available to stream on all sites and is coming off of his soon-to-be-released EP, “House Warming Party”. There will be a live-streamed release concert on his website this Friday the 13th. You can get your tickets through the link on Instagram or right here. But this is of course the last time to vote for his song “Strangers” on the Weekly Beat Down, so be sure to vote for your favourite this week.

Next up on the competition, we have our brand new artist debuting this week from Vancouver, British Columbia. Introducing Hard Rock/Metal band Celestial Ruin, who have unveiled their latest single titled “See U Nxt Tuezday” on all streaming platforms. This new single was produced by Jay Van Poederooyen who has worked with bands like Nickelback and Hinder in the past. But “See U Nxt Tuezday” is sure to get you hyper and rocking out at full blast. If you enjoy this week’s competitor, be sure to get your votes in for your favourite this week at the bottom of the page.
