Following their previous single, “War”, Joshua’s Habit has released one last single combined with their comeback LP, The Hard Road.
“Escape” is a liberating hard rock reverie about getting away from all the banality and confusion of modern life. The trippy introduction along with edgy vocals and phaser guitar soon morphs into a banging rock and roll track.
The group takes you on “Revolution Airways,” filled with “all-inclusive madness” on a “one-way vacation”. The drumming is superb, keeping the intensity throughout every pre-chorus and chorus. The Habit plays as if there was no 10-year hiatus at all. If only you could hop on a plane and truly escape it all. And as the world opens again, you will soon be able to. In the meantime, crank “Escape,” and get lost in the fantasy.
Along with the single release, The Habit is releasing their comeback album, The Hard Road this month, and plans to embark on a continental supporting tour in late 2021/ 2022. They are also already more than 1/2 way through writing and recording the follow-up album. The album release party for The Hard Road is July 23 at Buds on Broadway in Saskatoon.
