How do you do everybody!? Welcome back to what I call Music Monday, here on Canadian Beats. We’ve got some fantastic music to share with you lovely readers at home. Our main reason for being here is to bring you another round of our weekly competition. We will have two fairly new Canadian songs go head-to-head are you the fans to vote, with the top song of the week moving on to the next round. The voting will be going from today (Monday), till this Saturday at midnight. You can get your friends involved by using the hashtag #WeeklyBeatDown when you share about the beat down this week. But the Weekly Beat Down is not the only thing we’ve got going on, there will also be four articles recommended by me. I called them Zach’s Picks of the Week and they will be featured in the video, which you can watch down below. So that’s pretty much the rundown of the competition, but what do you say we get into the two songs versing each other this week.
He’s back for his third time on the show, with his amazingly catchy track. It’s the Toronto pop dynamo Andrew Cassara with video for “Gimme More Bass”. This single comes from his latest EP “Move That Body”, which came out back in December. This oh-so catchy anthem should be the first thing you added to your playlist this week. If you also want to see Andrew continue his journey to the Weekly Beat Down Hall of Fame. Get your votes in be your favourite song this week at the bottom of the page. But before you do that, be sure to check out the full video for “Gimme More Bass” by Andrew Cassara right here on the Weekly Beat Down.
The next competitor that will be joining us this week also is hailing from Toronto Ontario. Four-piece alternative punk rock band Napoleon joins the Beat Down this week, with their latest video for “Can’t Forget”. That’s coming off of the band’s latest EP “Enemy Within”, which came out a few weeks ago on all streaming sites. But you should also go check out their Five Questions With segment we had with the band right here. Check those out and if you enjoy their song, be sure to cast your votes for your favourite this week. But before we do that here is a clip from their video “Can’t Forget” by Napoleon on the Weekly Beat Down.
Those will be the two songs that you the fans will be getting the chance to vote on this week. Be sure you hit the “Anonymous Vote” button after selecting your choice, that way it confirms your vote. Remember you only have from Monday to Saturday night, so get your friends involved and vote every day for your favourites song. Good luck everyone!!
Thank you so much for tuning in to another fantastic lineup on Weekly Beat Down. We of course will be back next Monday with the best in Canadian music. So tell a friend and I’ll see you and them very soon, also don’t forget to vote for your favourite song. But as I like to say as always everybody, PEACE, LOVE AND GOOD MUSIC!!
Hey there! I’m Zach I love long walks on the beach and movies that make you cry. Wait a minute this isn’t my E-Harmony account. Let’s try this again, hi I’m Zach from Dawson Creek, BC. Before you think it, no it’s not like the TV show! I have loved music ever since I was a kid back in Abbotsford, BC where I was born. Moved up north when I was about six and was practically raised up here. Hands down one of my favorite Canadian band has to be Simple Plan, with Dallas Smith coming in second. One of my Favorite Things I enjoy doing is just sitting around listening to music or taking pictures. I’d say I’m a pretty good photographer but you can be the judge of that. Just even ask a couple of my friends City light vigil, Scarlet serenity or Violet night. If you’re still reading this congratulations you’ve reached the end.
