Wow. What a minute it’s been for The Reklaws. Their latest single, “What the Truck” is the fastest-rising Canadian country song to reach 1M+ Domestic streams and has garnered more Domestic streams (450K +) in a one-week period (it’s debut week) than any other Canadian country song in history.
The brother and sister duo decided to ask followers to write “the next verse” for “What the Truck” through TikTok. That post quickly shot up to 1M + views and when they received a submission from fellow Canadian country artist, Sacha. And, that’s when this single was truly born. Because The Reklaws believe in and support emerging artists, they invited Sacha to feature on the song and it’s clear they made the right decision.
The #whatthetruck hashtag on TikTok has also garnered over 1.5M+ views and counting. “What The Truck” also currently holds the top spot on TikTok’s Country playlist in both the U.S. and Canada.
Heading into summer, The Reklaws really are heating things up for their fans with this tune.

Hi all. I’m Nanci Dagg. I am from Winnipeg, Manitoba, and have lived my entire life here. There is nothing I like better than supporting local artists followed by supporting Canadian artists. Although I was a classic rock gal, my go to genre is country. Something about this music that just makes me feel great. I can be found at most country music concerts and shows (from someone’s house to really large venues) taking lots of pictures. Music and photography are two of my passions. Add to this mix, writing about artists, well let’s say, life doesn’t get better than this.
