Review – Just Costa

EP: Peachy
Release Date:
Genre: Pop/ Funk

Peachy is the debut EP From Montreal-based brother-sister duo, Just Costa.

So what is sadness anyway, because it is nowhere to be found on this absolutely positive album. It brings the funk vibes reminiscent of acts like Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson, and my personal favourite Planet Booty.  The first half of the EP is all uptempo and groovy, which will send everyone to the dance floor. The second half is a summer treat to chill out to on a road trip to the beach or your favourite destination.

The standout track on the EP has to be the title track, “Peachy”, which has that song of the summer beach vibe that I never tire of.  It also has a killer synth solo that reminds me of the solo that is played by another favourite of mine called “Cool Patrol” by Ninja Sex Party.

Overall this release is a full-on good time. If you’re feeling down, just throw this on! I guarantee it will destroy that foul mood you are in, and take you to much happier places.
