Montreal, QC-based electro-pop duo, Titelaine have unveiled their new single, “Ton Jeu”. This is the first single from their upcoming album, On veut vivre notre vie en vacances, which is set to be released next fall.
The single was composed in the middle of the pandemic, during the summer of 2020, when there was a renewed sense of hope and lightness.

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
We’re two friends (Loukas and Gabrielle) who have known each other for about 8 years. We met studying music together and started Titelaine in 2018.
We both share a marked passion for sweaters, writing pop music, and chilling in parks.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
The most important thing for us when writing music is to stay open-minded; everything is a possibility – we like to surprise each other!
We write the kind of music we would love to listen to on vacation.
How have you been keeping creative during the Pandemic?
During the first lockdown we didn’t write much, but we did start a Minecraft server and dedicate our time to gaming. We eventually realized that the pandemic wasn’t going to end anytime soon, went back to writing music, and managed to come up with a whole album (we can’t wait for you to hear it!!!).
With our project, we don’t need to be in the same room to write together. Gabrielle will compose lyrics, melody, and chords. She’ll then send me (Loukas) what she wrote and I’ll produce a beat for it. The opposite can happen too – like with our song ”Autour de Toi”. I created the beat then sent it to Gabrielle and she added the lyrics and vocal melody.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Listen to em all! If we had to choose one, listen to our new single ”Ton Jeu”. The song’s positive vibe will help you keep your head up during these tough times.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
Kaytranada, Céline Dion, Daniel Ceasar, CRi, and on the more emerging side we love Vendou, BAAB, and many many others!
