After being cancelled last year due to the pandemic, Montreal’s L’Équipe Spectra announced that they are planning to bring back Les Francos and the Montreal International Jazz Festival this fall!
Les Francos (presented by Bell, in collaboration with Loto-Québec) is set to take place from September 9th to 12th, and the Montreal International Jazz Festival (presented by the TD Bank Group, in collaboration with Rio Tinto) from September 15th to 19th. The organizers are currently working on a digital programmation, as well as outdoors show on the Place des Festivals, if the situation allows.
Laurent Saulnier, vice-president of programming at L’Équipe Spectra, says:
“We can’t wait to see the microphones hooked up, the lights onstage, the musicians playing, the singers singing. We will follow the evolution of the health situation closely and the presentation of our two festivals will be done in compliance with the instructions and recommendations issued by Public Health.”
Indoor shows that had been postponed from 2020 or part of the Summer 2021 edition have been postponed to Summer 2022 or will be shortly, for more information visit francosmontreal.com and montrealjazzfest.com!
More details will be unveiled soon, so stay tuned!
