The last show we covered in Montreal was Motel Raphael’s lovely POP Montreal set back in September. Earlier this week, we had the pleasure to hear from trio member Clara Jones, as she kickstarted her solo career with her new single “Ordinary Person”, a deep and emotional examination of the human experience.
Clara Jones’s music asks honest questions about what it means to live in a world in transition. It taps into social anxieties and reckons with the fact that ordinary people are just along for the ride. She provides a space for everybody. Her country-folk background inspires deeper dives into her music’s subject matter, with a focus on lyrical depth. But, most importantly, her songs are fun and energetic.
Hi there! My name is Marie, I am French born and raised, now living in Montreal. I work in Marketing by day, and I’m an avid concert-goer by night. I have always had a passion for photography, and realized that this mixes quite well with my love for live music (the absolute best way to experience music, if you ask me).
