Greetings everyone and welcome to a historical addition of the Weekly Beat Down! Our competition will go down in history or at least to the future. I will be dropping a USB stick containing music from our time period into a time capsule. This will show whoever finds it, what music was like in the 2020s. But there will still be two amazing songs facing off for your votes regardless, from Monday to Saturday. I’ve also got four amazing recommendations coming up on Zach’s Picks of the Week. Tune in below to the new episode.
The first artist that will be starting us off this week returns for her third round. From Windsor, Ontario we have singer-songwriter Christee Palace, back with her amazing song “What Have You Done to Me”. You can of course check out that song on all your favourite streaming services. Be sure to show her some love and don’t forget to vote for your favourites this week. The full video for “What Have You Done to Me” is available here.
The next group that will be joining us for this historical occasion hails from Toronto, Ontario. Post-grunge band The Effens have recently dropped their lead single off of their upcoming EP called “Pavement Age”. The single and video are now available online, so go check it out down below. Also, don’t forget to vote for your favourite song this week at the bottom of the page.
Those will be the two songs facing off on this momentous competition of ours. Be sure to hit the anonymous vote button so that your vote is submitted properly. You have from Monday to Saturday night so there’s no time to waste.
