Windsor, ON-based singer-songwriter Christee Palace released her newest single, the moody, dramatic track, “What Have You Done To Me” on January 15, 2021.
Today, we are happy to team up with Christee to give an exclusive first look at the brand new video for the release. Shot in quarantine at One Zero One studio in Toronto, and directed by Jaden D. and Christee herself, this bone-chilling, emotionally raw new video explores the detrimental consequences of giving in to a love that only takes. The video displays the mental and physical deterioration associated with losing yourself in another, with its quick pops of imagery, reversed footage, and dreary colours.
“I knew as soon as this song was completed that it needed a video. I wanted the listener to visually be on that emotional journey with me, and physically see the internal effects of a back and forth, toxic love. Everything in the video down to the editing was purposeful and contrived. It’s haunting and eerie. I can’t wait for people to watch,” says Christee.
