Who: Neon Dreams
When: November 13, 2020
Where: Halifax Convention Centre, Halifax NS
Friday night was my very first show since Pre-Pandemic Lockdown. New social distancing guidelines have allowed us to return to live shows at amazing venues. Tonight was two firsts for me. First time not shooting in a pit, and the first time shooting at the new Halifax Convention Centre.
Pre-show, I need to comment, Sonic did an AMAZING job organizing the events to ensure that people were able to attend in a safe manner, there were no line ups, no crowding. One table at a time of people were brought in, signed in, sanitized, and escorted in a socially distant manner to their table where they were to sit. It was AMAZING. Definitely not the concert-going experience of old, but it did not matter. Everyone was there to enjoy live music, support local artists, and have a great time.
The show started promptly at 8 PM and Frank and Adrian of Neon Dreams did not leave anything behind from the beginning. Singing the hits and improving the mood of all the concert-goers there that was just looking to enjoy the one thing we have all been missing and craving. That feeling of the hairs on your arm raise, as the body draws in the energy that only comes from a live concert.
