Meg Warren releases lyric video for “If I Can’t Do It The Way I Want, Then I Don’t Want To Do It At All”

Toronto, ON-based singer-songwriter, producer & engineer, Meg Warren is set to release her new EP, A Thousand Ways on November 27, 2020. Following the release of her first single, “Bomb“, she has now unveiled “If I Can’t Do It The Way I Want, Then I Don’t Want To Do It At All”.

On the track, Meg says,

Coming up in the music industry in my 20s, I was bombarded with unhealthy messages about constant ’hustling’ and ‘grinding’ and ‘outworking the competition’. After turning 30 (and not spontaneously combusting or whatever else I thought was going to happen to me as a woman in the music industry), I made a deal with myself. I’m going to exist here how I want – with an integrated life, working hard but not desperately, making time for friends, family, hobbies – or I’ll find another way to make a living.”
