A new music video for “I Love It” was paired with the EP release. The song and video also feature fellow Nova Scotian singer/rapper Just Chase, and was co-directed and produced by Classified himself. The video reflects how Classified has matured over his two-decade career to find fulfilment in fatherhood and family life:
“With this song, I really wanted to write it autobiographically. I wanted to talk about my goals in the game and reaching them. Working with my heroes and how I dealt with the fame and money I earned over the years, the relationships with friends, and what’s important to me. With the video, I wanted to do a rough day in the life of what I do. I see my kids in the morning, I hit the studio, I have family time, I play basketball or skateboard, or motorbike with friends. I like having people over, I enjoy the company.” —Luke Boyd (Classified)
I’m Shayla, and I was born in Saskatoon but moved to Halifax in 2013 for University, and since decided to stay here for a while. I recently received a Bachelor of Design, after studying photography for a year or two as well. I love everything about music and how it has the ability to bring so many people together from across the country and even the world. My passion for music is one of the reasons I moved East to pursue a photography and design career, as I would love to do graphic design and photography within the Canadian music industry.
