Weekly Beat Down – September 21, 2020 to September 26, 2020

Greetings and Welcome all you music fanatics out there!! It’s another great Monday for some new music, so it’s time for the REAL Weekly Beat Down!! The only one that gives you the best in Canadian music, or at least in my opinion. For this week we have two amazing artists that will be facing off for your votes at home. The one that has the most votes by this Saturday night, is going to be our winner and possibly take on next week’s competition. Shall we jump into the episode and see who will be featured this week? Check out the new video below.

Our first competitor this week will be returning from last week. Toronto, Ontario pop-punk band Oakrest have been killing it in the voting section! Their latest single “Nothing Serious” has been on repeat on my phone and was just added to the Canadian Beats “Canadian Current” playlist on Spotify. Be sure to get your votes in at the bottom of the page if you want to see this amazing band continue to the next round. Without further ado though, here is the video for “Nothing Serious” by our current champs Oakrest.

Our next competitor to the Beat Down comes to us all the way from Montreal, Quebec. Pop/Funk singer Izabelle has just released her new single in English and French. The single, “Self-Talk Session” comes off her latest release Version 2.0 which came out back in November. The song features legendary local musicians lead by musical director Alexandre Lapointe who co-wrote and played bass. Absolutely terrific song and I am glad to have her featured this week. If you enjoy Izabella’s song, be sure to go and drop her vote down below at the bottom of the page. Of course, now you can check out the full video just down here and I made sure I linked both English and French versions for you.

That right there folks are going to be the two amazing artists facing off head-to-head this week on the Weekly Beat Down. It’s now all up to you at home, the voting runs from today “Monday” and going till “Saturday night”. Don’t forget to share with your friends and make sure that your favourite wins this week.

And that is going to be everything I have for you lovely people this week. I hope you get your votes in and I also hope you maybe found some new music to listen to on this week’s recommendations. PEACE, LOVE, AND GOOD MUSIC TO YOU ALL!!
