Originally from Ontario, now residing on Vancouver Island, BC, Ryan Laird is a name you should recognize. He’s a two-time Canadian Country Music Award nominee, and top 10 recording artist, with consecutive top 40 singles, “Girl Crazy”, “She Was The One” and “Where Do I Go” with Leah Daniels.
Now, Ryan has unveiled his newest single, “Make It Work”.
“Years ago, my cowriters & I set out to write a song that would ignite listeners from around the globe to find their voice and unify.
I had written a catchy and unique chord progression on guitar that I shared with them. I started strumming my guitar and as we chatted about life, the lyric “I don’t need a megaphone or a protest sign, but you’re welcome to a piece of my mind” poured out onto the page. By the end of the day, “Make It Work” had been written. We’ve been holding onto the song waiting for the perfect time to release. With the current global state of affairs in 2020, my team and I feel the time to inspire & “Make It Work” is now.”
