Through the artist’s eyes … what does the “Back Yardin’” adventure mean to him? You can find out by checking out this fascinating mini-documentary by Brandon Ferguson as he joins Andrew Hyatt to film these incredible evenings of Back Yardin’: The Home Concert Series. It was in three cities, in three back yards, in southern Ontario, held on July 30, 31, and August 1.
Andrew Hyatt is an award-winning country artist who was thrilled to be a part of this intimate look of what it’s like to help fans enjoy live music in a time when artists and fans alike want some type of normalcy in these unprecedented times. This first of many back yard concert series, presented by Tour Bus Productions and videographed and produced by Brandon Ferguson Media, had one of country music’s best-emerging artists share the stories behind his songs and deliver stripped back versions of his songs that included “Stuck,” “I Needed That,” “On Me” and “Didn’t Know Me.” This was definitely a socially distanced experience fans will always remember.
Says Hyatt of the concert series,
“It feels like when you’re away from home for a long time and you move away to college or whatever and then you come home and there’s a comfort there. There’s something special, there’s something familiar and something warm and that’s what these shows feel like to me. I can’t wipe the smile off my face and I’m so grateful I got to do this.”
Tour Bus Productions Corey Kelly says,
“This was our first run of shows and Andrew was an absolutely perfect artist to kick it off. There’s just something about working with people that have the same vision and striving for that same goal. Andrew thanks for spending three days with us and sharing the stories behind the songs. Every time I step foot into a Kroeger now in the US I will be singing “Me, a Girl and a Radio.””
