Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
Hello readers !! My name is L.Teez, born in Paris raised in Montreal, with a father of Algerian Kabyle descent and a mother born in Montreal of Jamaican – Chinese descent.
First and foremost I’m a music fanatic, I’m constantly listening to new and old music, mostly Jazz, RnB, Hip hop, Soul. Recently I’ve been lucky enough to have traveled in various parts of the world to play in festivals and showcases ( Portugal, France, Japan, Korea, ). I think that my greatest accomplishments so far as a performing artist is opening for Earth Wind & Fire in Paris, opening for Black Starr ( Talib Kweli, Mos Def ), and also playing on a beautiful Friday night for the International Jazz Festival of Montreal.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
I would consider my music a tasteful mixture of jazzy-hip hop-soul instrumentals with lush and well thought out poetic lyrics.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
My team and I are working very hard on a release show for my upcoming Ep which drops on Sept 18, 2020. Details of the show will be posted on all of my social media accounts and music platforms.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
If there’s one song that I would suggest someone to hear, it would be my song “Questions”, which is the single of my Ep “The Index To My Inner Thoughts”. The song is the perfect introduction to my Ep and also my musical and poetic universe.
