Weekly Beat Down – August 10, 2020 to August 15, 2020

Good Monday morning to all you lovely music fans out there. It’s time once again for the Weekly Beat Down, my favourite time of the week where we like to pin two songs against each other for your votes. The song counting with the most votes is going to be the winner and moving on to next week’s competition. We’ve also got four recommendations that I would like to give you this week from our website. Now let’s check out the video down below and get into the show.

Our returning champion from last week’s Showdown, ORCHAD from Montreal have their new song taking the top spot on the Beat Down. The track “Critically Ashamed” is a satire on the use of social media as a measure for success. Lifestyles are dictated by social networks and the majority of their content intended to feign accomplishment and to highlight a life that seems to be perfect. If you enjoy ORCHAD and their track “Critically Ashamed”, be sure to cast your votes for them at the bottom of the page. However, enjoy the full video for Critically Ashamed right here.

The next artist that will be joining us on the Weekly Beat Down this week is London, Ontario rock trio Basic White. They released their new single and video for “Brigade”, their second and final single off of the album The Second Half. The new track is a powerful anthem about the importance of building a support system around yourself to help reach your dreams and get through the hard times. You can check out the full video just down below and don’t forget to vote for your favourite this week.

Those will be the two amazing songs facing off for your votes, check out the polls down below. Like I said before the song counting with the most votes by the end of the week is going to be our winner. Don’t forget to use the hashtag #WeeklyBeatDown when sharing with your friends online.

That’s is going to be at from me this week, I hope you all found something new to listen to. If you didn’t well that’s okay, there’s going to be new stuff next week! Peace, Love, and Good Music to you all and have a great week!!
