Welcome back one and all to my favourite segment of the week! The Weekly Beat Down, where we like to give you, the music-loving fans, two songs to fight over. The song coming out with the most votes by the end of this week will be crowned our winner and get to proceed to the next round. I’ve also got four amazing musical recommendations coming up on Zach’s Picks of the Week, so without dilly-dallying, let’s jump right into the new episode down below.
Let’s start things off with our returning champions for the last four weeks, going on to their fifth. It’s Toronto, Ontario party rockers Bad Holiday who are back with their song “Can’t Control”. This song has been taring up the beat down and is a crowd favourite apparently. The band will be releasing a new song at the end of this month so you better keep an eye out. But you guys know what to do, go and cast your votes down at the bottom of the page if you want to vote for a Bad Holiday. Check out the full video for “Can’t Control” right here.
Now it’s time to check in with our second artist that will be joining us here on the Weekly Beat Down. Another Toronto artist that will be jumping into the competition is going to alternative hip-hop rocker Krosst Out. He’s going to be drifting into the show with his brand new video for the single “Drive”. The new single comes off of his upcoming album titled Phone Calls With Ghosts, which will be released sometime later this year. You guys can go cast your votes for Krosst Out if you want to see him win at the bottom of the page. You can also check out the full video for “Drive” right here.
Those are going to be the two badass songs facing off on this special edition the beatdown. The steps are pretty simple after this, cast your votes for your favourite daily from Monday to Saturday night. Be sure to share with all your friends using the hashtag #WeeklyBeatDown and don’t forget to vote daily.
However, that is going to be all the music for you guys this week from me. Feel free to check out the rest of the website and find all sorts of other content that I couldn’t fit into this week’s segment. I hope you all have yourself an amazing week, stay positive out there and show love to all! Peace, Love and Good Music to you all! I’ll see you in the next one.
