Toronto-based punk rock trio The OBGMs dropped a chaotic new track on Monday called “Not Again”, via Black Box.
The band’s latest addresses “Bad advice, wrong choice, fake lovers and friends,” says singer/guitarist Densil McFarlane. “‘Not Again’ is about the lies I tell myself when I look in the mirror.”
Continuing on a collaboration that started with “Cash”, another recent single from the trio, The OBGMs sought out Grammy and JUNO Award-winning producer Dave Schiffman to mix the track.
The OBGMs have shared the stage with acts ranging from punk rock icons like Bad Brains, Green Day, and Anti Flag to rappers Pusha T and Saul Williams.
Stay tuned for more new music from The OBGMs coming out in 2020.

Hi, my name is Max. I’m a journalism student currently on placement here at Canadian Beats. I grew up in the GTA, but I’ve been around Ontario a little bit for school in the past few years. I think in a lot of ways the landscape of Canadian music is partially shaped by the journalists who choose to dedicate their time to giving it exposure. By promoting and contributing to a healthy media environment for Canadian artists, journalists contribute in their own way to keeping a strong Canadian music identity alive. I’m excited to hopefully be a small part of that contribution over the next few weeks.
