Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
My name is Dillin Hoox and I’m a rapper, singer, songwriter from Ottawa, Ontario.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
I like to create music with a message. I tend to write about world issues and things that have impacted my life. I’ve got songs about spirituality, the human condition, genocides…
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
I’m currently locked in the studio cooking up some new tracks but I try to give my all in everything that I do… So, there’s definitely a lot of energy in my performances.
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
I would say my latest release ‘Problem’ ft. Rick Ross and Sam Hoss. I feel the song showcases my versatility as an artist.
Canadian Beats is all about Canadian music, so who are your current favourite Canadian bands/ artists?
I listen to a lot of Canadian artists. From Drake and Tory Lanez to Belly, Snak The Ripper and Merkules. Canada has a crazy amount of talented artists.
