Calgary, AB-based indie-pop artist, Adam Ambrose has unveiled his brand new single, “Heroes” along with a video for the release.
Focused on writing the follow up to his early 2019 EP, “Little Green Cabins”, which featured his smash-hit “Breathe”, Adam felt inspired to thank his close family members working as frontline staff at Calgary’s Foothills Medical Centre. “Heroes”, produced by Juno nominated producer, Brandon Unis, is a beautifully written, melodic ode to those keeping us safe across the country.
For the second time, the self-taught and self-trained artist will be using his platform for good.Last year he donated 50% of the proceeds from merchandise sales off his song “Breathe” to the Canadian Mental Health Association. This time, he decided to donate a percentage of his profits for each pre-save he receives for “Heroes” to the Canadian Red Cross COVID Relief Fund.
The track is an ode to frontline workers everywhere, “Heroes” took just four days from being an idea to the finished product. Produced by Juno nominated Brandon Unis, Adam Ambrose’s “Heroes” gives back to the community through music – with a percentage of the proceeds going to charity.
The video, created and completed in isolation, features Adam’s friends, family members, and a few of his social media followers, holding up their messages of gratitude and support to all frontline workers. After putting out the call for Canadians to participate, Adam received over 40 submissions from people all across the country and used nearly every entry in the video.
