Last week, Ontario rock band The Meringues released the music video for their song “The Lottery”. The video, funded by the Kingston Film Office, was set to premiere at the Kingston Canadian Film Festival which got cancelled due to COVID-19, but is now available online!
About the video, vocalist Ted Evans explains:
The video is for our song “The Lottery” and is a take on the classic “Dating Game.” We got a space here in town and fully rebuilt the set from that show. It took us 4 days to build, one full day to shoot, and one day to tear it all down. We got to work with an amazing production company called Make Hay Media who do videos all over the world and they helped assemble an amazing local crew of Queens University students and Kingston community members. Needless to say, this project involved a lot of really hard-working and creative people.
