Quebec’s Alexandra Lost is the brainchild of veteran songwriter, Jane Ehrhardt, and composer/producer, Simon Paradis. The two have unveiled a video for their single, “Modern Feelings”.
Alexandra Lost shares,
“‘Modern Feelings’ sounds like fireworks at dusk, as orchestral pop meets smooth funk. This bouncy, summery jam is a call to just get in the car and get over it. Filmed in Saint Augustine Beach, Florida, the video for “Modern Feelings” chases poolside mojitos with a shot of psychedelia.”

Care to introduce yourself to our readers?
We are Alexandra Lost, a synth-pop duo from Quebec. We like sampling old records, turning knobs on ancient keyboards and writing strange poetry to put on top. Half of the group is Jane and the other half is Simon.
Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.
We basically put our entire record collection in a blender along with every book we ever read. The result is a delicious, refreshing beverage that leaves you with a sense of nostalgia for something you once tasted on an endless summer night in your misspent youth.
Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?
On April 10th, we will have the immense pleasure of playing in Canada’s most enchanting city, Quebec City. When performing, Jane sings not only with her voice but with her hands and her heart as well. Simon shreds bombastic basslines on a Yamaha DX7 while synthesizing the sound of the angels on a KORG. We’re usually able to convince one of our friends to play guitar with us in exchange for our eternal souls (or our firstborn).
If you were asked to suggest only one of your songs for someone to hear, which would it be?
Modern Feelings! It is our jam, and it will be yours too.
