Care to introduce yourself to our readers?

We are Judgement; a Canadian post-hardcore quartet based out of Oshawa, Ontario. We stand for equality and continuous growth and believe in spreading the message of a judgement-free society through our music, media and our live performance.

Tell us a bit about your music and writing style.

Our style of music derives from the early 2000’s emo/post-hardcore era. We re-invent tasteful sounds that deliver a nostalgic but unforgettable feeling from the genre’s history, with modern elements and a different energy. Our music focus’ on topics that are surrounded by judgement, these include; mental illness, domestic violence, personal growth, societies expectations, and equality to name a few.

Create your own path

With the air that you breathe

Ignoring the ones disguised as gravity

Have no regrets, when it’s all said and done

Live your own life, ‘cause we may only have one

Do you have any upcoming shows? For someone who has yet to see you live, how would you explain your live performance?

Inclusive, impactful, and energetic. Judgement of other individuals is to be left outside of the venue. An inclusive environment. We provide a tight performance that creates a high-energy vibe people can feel. Head-banging and mosh-pits are welcome (no karate in the pit).

Tell us more about your debut single “Terra Firma”.

Terra Firma” means dry land or solid ground. Separate from the sea and the sky. This song is about personal growth and development; creating your own path, pushing past those who project their insecurities onto you and ultimately weigh you down. It’s about not letting the opinions and judgement of others affect your own decisions regarding what you chose to do with your life. Don’t be controlled or conformed.
